Cadillac have just unveiled the updated 2025 CT5 sedan at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, a car that now features a fresh new appearance to go with its additional comfort, safety and general on-board niceties of the technological variety.
Right off the bat, we can tell the 2025 CT5 looks sharper than its predecessor. The front fascia has a bold new look, more in line with the brand’s other “new age” models, although if we look close enough, we can see a few CT4 and XT4 styling traits as well.

The way the light units blend into the front fascia may be new by CT5 standards, but we’re not sure that what this mid-size sedan really needed was to look more like its smaller sibling, the CT4. But hey, what do we know, we certainly don’t run Cadillac’s design department. On the other hand, it’s not like it’s a bad look, so let’s just move on.

Technically, what they did was to make the front grille lower and wider, while redesigning the vertical light signature. Meanwhile, Sport trim models are said to get a performance black mesh grille and black accents, which was to be expected.

Here’s a bunch of novelties pertaining to the 2025 Cadillac CT5: available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, Google built-in compatibility, standard Blind Zone Steering Assist, standard Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, available Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist, plus Driver Attention Assist – the latter is packaged along with the Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system.

There are also two new colors in Deep Space Metallic and Typhoon Metallic, although to be fair, Cadillac’s color palette for the CT5 has always been nice.

“CT5’s importance in Cadillac’s portfolio cannot be overstated,” said the company’s VP, John Roth. “Globally, CT5 is having its best sales year, ever. The 2025 CT5 stays true to what customers love about this vehicle, while bringing a revised look and the latest technology and safety features.”

What else is new?

Buying a 2025 Cadillac CT5 means enjoying a new driver-oriented 33-inch LED touchscreen display, boasting 9K resolution, a customizable user interface, access to apps like Google Maps, and more. You also get OnStar on the new CT5, where its Remote Access feature is now included for three years.

In terms of the driving experience, the CT5 comes with a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, packing 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. If that’s too slow, feel free to opt for the 3.0-liter twin turbo unit with its 335 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque – there's also available AWD, for those who require better grip and traction at all times.

The sad part is that you’ll have to wait a while before you can get your hands on one. Production for the 2025 CT5 is expected to commence next spring, which means we also can’t disclose much in terms of pricing.

As for the updated 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, details for these two flagship specs will be announced at a later date.
