The Jeep Wrangler series of compact (2-Door) and mid-size (4-Door) 4WD off-road SUV easily traces its roots through the Jeep CJ series back to the all-purpose vehicle that helped the Allies win WWII.
Today, though, after four successful generations, the nameplate is much more than just the heir of the WWII Willys Jeep and CJ series. It's also one of the most iconic vehicles of the past two decades in its own right, a Guinness World Records holder, and one of the go-to platforms when people want to go above and beyond the call of trail duty.

After it was introduced in late 2017 as a 2018 model year, the JL iteration went through a mid-cycle refresh for 2024MY with new styling, fresh wheel and tire combos, a new Rubicon 'X' trim, standard U Connect 5 infotainment (bringing wired and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 4G LTE Wi-Fi) with redesigned center stack to make way for a 12-inch display, and many other new features and perks.

That means the Jeep Wrangler can continue to fight – now also dressed in Punk'n Metallic (Orange) and Bikini Pearl Coat Metallic (Teal Blue) – against the likes of Ford's reinvented Bronco or the upcoming 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser for at least a few model years. However, rivals are not idling, and soon Toyota could present an all-new 4Runner to add pressure, among others. So, maybe we should be interested in what comes next for the smaller Wrangler and larger Wrangler Unlimited?

In the real world, the immediate order of business was to drop the diesel engine from the model family – and now the Gladiator Rubicon FarOut pickup truck is acting as the swan song of the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel turbocharged V6 mill. But across the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, things are taken a step further – and possibly into the novel lifestyle of EVs.

This virtual artist - Nima Farzin (aka farzinnimaa on social media), is the Exterior Design Manager at Fisker Inc., but he's also into fan-made-like projects from time to time. For example, the pixel master previously imagined the looks of a sporty Genesis GV-e crossover SUV (which is embedded second below because it's too cool not to show), as well as the conceptual Porsche 911 and Nissan Z with battery power under their sports car belts.

Now, though, he moved on to serious off-road things. As such, his latest unofficial design project revolves around the mighty Jeep Wrangler. Its silhouette is unmistakable, so the CGI expert is not fiddling with that, but this four-door off-roader is definitely not a current Wrangler JL. Instead, we feel the author most likely envisioned the upcoming fifth generation as a fully electric 4WD model with zero emissions and an evolved style – LEDs replace the seven-slot grille – but also doesn't forget that it's a true adventurer. Cool, right?
