Porsche might be the most motorsport-friendly automaker out there, but Zuffenhausen's trophy cabinet is loaded with circuit accolades, not drag racing trophies. Nevertheless, this doesn't stop a few straight line addicts from turning their Neunelfers into boost rockets and then setting out to rule the realm of street racing.
The latest example of this comes from the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which brings us not one, but two such Porsches.

While the first rear-engined animal you'll see in the clip is a 911 Turbo S belonging to the 997 generation, the second is a 991.1 (the pre-revamp model) Turbo S.

The 997 has left its factory turbos behind, going for a pair of GT30R units. Keep in mind that we're talking about a six-speed machine here, so the guy behind the wheel has to work his way through the gears as he races the Porscha.

As for the 991, we aren't aware of the PDK machine's specs, but we can tell you that the Neunelfer packs delicious bolt-ons.

The pair of Neunelfers duked it out with two Coyote Mustangs, with both Fords belonging to the previous generation of the pony.

The first Blue Oval machine features a VMP blower, while packing a six-speed manual tranny, just like the Porsche it battles. Probably to keep their clutches safe, the drivers went for a rolling start, setting off at 40 mph.

When it comes to the second 'Stang, we're looking at an overly meaty setup, one that involves a built V8 featuring twin turbos. Given the fact that both the Turbo S and the said Ford came with two pedals (the Mustang packed racing slicks), the drivers agreed on a standing start.

However, you should keep in mind that the built Mustang was just getting dialed in during the race you'll get to see.

And you can check out the nighttime action below, with the German heroes being used as the camera cars.
