What do Portlandia, Matt Damon, Toyota and Lexus have in common? On Saturday, October 19th, they will gather to celebrate the entertainment industry’s environmental efforts at the 23rd annual Environmental Media Awards at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank California.
The ceremony honors film and television products that communicate environmental messages in creative ways and Toyota will be the award’s presenting sponsors for its 12th time.
“The entertainment industry elevated Prius to a cultural icon and made hybrids cool,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president, automotive operations, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota and Lexus are proud to support and celebrate Hollywood’s positive influence and impact on the planet.”
Lexus and Toyota hybrid vehicles will be showcased at the event, like the Lexus LS 600h L and CT 200h, Toyota Prius Plug-in or the RAV4 EV. Attendees will also get a scoop on the Toyota fuel cell vehicle coming in 2015.
