These are sad times for muscle car enthusiasts, as Dodge dropped the Challenger (and Charger) at the end of last year, and Chevrolet did the same with the sixth-generation Camaro.
But while the former's next two-door muscly model is supposedly a few months away from taking a swing at the new-gen Ford Mustang, it is unknown what the future holds for the latter. GM's brand only said that this is not the end of the line when it comes to this nameplate, so your guess is as good as ours as to when and in what form we will see it.

Anyone shopping for a potent Camaro will have to search dealer lots for a decently-priced copy or surf the web for an older one with only a few miles under its belt. If the latter sounds like the best decision, not to mention a great way to avoid the greedy markups, then the pictured example is certainly worth a look, as it ticks all the boxes that make it an interesting proposal.

You're looking at a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, one that has been with its first owner ever since it left the factory floor six years ago. It features quite a few upgrades, including a custom exhaust system with active valves that allow the engine to breathe more freely, and it has 665 horsepower at the wheels, according to the vendor.

As you already know, the 2024 Camaro ZL1's 6.2-liter supercharged V8 pumps out 650 horsepower (at the crank), allowing it to sprint to 60 mph (97 kph) in three and a half seconds and turning it into a ten-second car on a good day. The older copy is even quicker and hasn't seen much action over the years. In fact, it has only 7,495 miles (12,062 km) under its belt.

Finished in white on top of a black interior and fitted with a ten-speed automatic transmission, it's a track-ready machine that should put many smiles on its next owner's face every time they push the right pedal to the floor. We know what you're probably thinking: that it sounds too good to be true and that it was probably severely crashed at one point and then rebuilt. However, according to the ad, it has a clean Carfax.

It doesn't cost an arm and a leg either, as the Garage Kept Motors listing shows that it can be yours in exchange for $62,900. That's pretty much 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse territory, with the Blue Oval's pony car featuring a 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 with 500 hp. So, if you had to choose between the two, which one would you buy? This writer would certainly go for the Camaro in a heartbeat.
