The Mazda Miata, or MX-5 as it’s known in Europe and other places, is a great little affordable sportscar which can be used both for daily driving and for a lot of fun on the track or country roads.
But you know how it can get better? No, not turbocharging it or changing most of the engine internals, but by replacing the whole engine with something more powerful...
And when I say more powerful, I’m referring to a V8 of course. Yeah, a 4-liter V8 like the one found in the Lexus LS 400 can actually fit under the Miata’s little hood if you’re a talented engineer.
Then, just bolt a manual Toyota Supra transmission and a custom clutch housing to it and you end up with this little monster - a true sleeper that will scare the soul out of everyone near it. Check it out in the video bellow from /Drive, where it’s being taken on the track.
