How does the cockpit of a 1,825-horsepower look? What do you see from behind the wheel of a $4 million car? Bugatti is willing to share that with the mortals and comes up with photos from inside the Bolide hypercar. Bugatti only built 40 such stunning examples.
A multi-dimensional sensory experience that is unlike anything else. This is how Bugatti describes behind on board the Bolide hypercar. The track-only hypercar is, as expected, inspired by motor racing.
The Bolide sports a lightweight, high-strength monocoque, which is stronger and stiffer than that of the Chiron’s. The new structure enabled a new seating position, one that leans rearwards, while the heels of the driver sit slightly raised, replicating the pro drivers’ position during racing.
The cabin has been exclusively crafted for the Bolide, sharing nothing with the Bugatti road cars. Optimized racing seats and a high-tech steering wheel are on board.
The cockpit of the Bolide follows the X theme that can be seen in the X-shaped taillights, flanking the new central exhaust tailpipes. The steering wheel mimics the same theme with a striking shape and well-balanced proportions.

It can be easily unfastened, take out of the cockpit, and even placed as an exhibit, reminding the owner that the on-track Bugatti driving experience is only a few steps away.
Developed on race tracks around the world, with the help of pro racing drivers, the steering wheel is inspired both from motor racing and gaming and designed with high-tech 3D tech and polygonal modeling. In the end, it turned out to be a unit that can be easily maneuvered at very high speeds while dealing with the g-forces.
The driver can select one of the two Bolide display interfaces. The first one shows complex data that the Bugatti test drivers demanded, while the other offers an overview of the necessary information during track driving.
The multi-pad design of the seats, layered directly onto the monocoque, sports the same X-theme treatment. Once the doors pop open, the outer pads of the seat’s backrest open as well to facilitate access. A 3D-printed frame connects the headrest pad to the door structure. The position provides comfort, impeccable visibility, and the necessary support. The steering wheel and the pedals are adjustable. Customers can choose leather, suede, napa or Alcantara for the seats.
A lightweight climate control system channels the airflow through symmetrical quad design system which integrates four pipes with aluminum nozzles.
The entire cockpit mirrors the performance that the Bugatti Bolide is capable of. The model is powered by the French carmaker’s almighty 8.0-liter W16, which generates 1,825 horsepower (1,850 PS) and 1,364 lb-ft (1,850 Nm) of torque.
The Bolide can flash from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 kph) in 2.2 seconds, hit 124 mph (200 kph) in 4.4 seconds, and 186 mph (300 kph) in 7.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 311 mph (501 kph).
