Last year, a Nissan flew off a bridge while driving on an express way in Texas and landed upside down on top of a Chevrolet Camaro parked in a dealership yard. The poor Camaro was crushed like an empty can of Coca-Cola. A few months later, the Camaro was fixed and sold with a clean title, because for every car that is smashed to pieces, there is always an optimist believing that one day, it will hit the road again. And sometimes, they are right!
The crash took place in Mission, Texas, in the yard of the Spikes Ford dealership, located right next to the 805 E Expressway 83. The former owner had driven the Camaro for only 300 miles (483 kilometers) before trading it in. The dealership was planning to sell the car, which featured a very rare spec. But there was a sudden change of plans, as the sports car seemed to have found its tragic end.

We don't know anything about how bad the Nissan looked and what happened to it after the incident. But back then, the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 looked like it was on its way to the scrapyard. It was halfway crushed already. The roof caved in after the Nissan 350Z had landed upside down on top of it.

The front and rear pillars of the Chevy were bent down and all windows, except the one on the passenger's side, were shattered to pieces. The door and fenders on the driver's door were also a mess. It really looked like there was not much left to save from the car except for some parts that would easily sell on eBay and that V8 that was intact.

Furthermore, the airbags on board were deployed. The 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 looked every inch a write-off. Luckily, no one was on board the Chevy at the moment of the crash because nothing except for the wheels, front, and rear end escaped the tousling.

But who would take on such an insane project, which looked time- and money-consuming from the very start, without knowing for sure that they could make a profit out of so much work?

For every crushed Chevy Camaro, there is always someone out there who can save it

Well, someone did, and photos of the fixed Camaro showed up on the Camaro Fest Facebook page. The model really looks as if it has just rolled off the production line. There is no trace of the Camaro that, months ago, crumpled like a sheet of paper under the weight of the Nissan. All panels seem perfectly aligned, straight where they should be straight, and rounded where they should be rounded.

"Believe it or not, they fixed this and sold it," the post reads. Facebook users rushed into the comments section to tell everyone how wrong it was to sell a car that was once crushed like this Camaro. There were, of course, just as many saying that their cars had worse damages after various accidents and still look and drive great today.

Someone involved in the repair process posted a photo of the Camaro looking as if it was in the best shape ever: "For everyone wondering, it turned out really good and could hardly tell it was in an accident. Carfax showed an accident dealer but was still a clean title," Phoenix Brooks explained on Facebook.

The car, one of the 1,292 Chevrolet Camaros Z/28 produced in 2015, was listed on basilicars.com for $96,745 and originally discovered by Carscoops. The model is powered by a hand-assembled 427-cubic inch (7.0-liter) LS7 V8 engine mated to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a helical limited-slip differential, steering the resources toward the rear axle.

That V8 engine roars out 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque through the dual-mode performance exhaust system, bringing all the drama that such a power plant is capable of.

The 2015 Camaro Z/28 sports a very interesting spec

It is painted in Summit White over black leather and suede microfiber upholstery covering the Recaro seats with Z/28 logos embroidered on the headrests. Air conditioning, an optional CD stereo, and aluminum pedals are also on board the Chevy sports car.

The multifunction steering wheel is wrapped in microfiber suede. There are a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,000-rpm redline right behind it.

It rides on 19-inch forged alloy Y-spoke wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. A fully independent suspension and Performance Traction Management are on the menu.

When BasilCars.com listed the car for sale, they did not mention the damage it had sustained and listed it with a clean title. However, we are sure that its new owner knows exactly what they purchased. The car was sold with incredibly low mileage. It only had 661 miles at the time it was listed. The dealership also uploaded a video to prove that the car was the next best thing to being perfect.
