This Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Is a Transformers-Themed Hypercar Based in Madrid

This bespoke Bugatti is playing for everyone’s favorite home team, the Autobots. Come to think of it, if all those characters transformed into luxury hypercars, then instead of calling out “Autobots, roll out!”, Optimus Prime would likely say something along the lines of “Autobots, clean out someone’s bank account!”

That’s exactly what this particular 2015 Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is planning on doing. We don’t know how much it costs, but once the Sotheby’s auction kicks off come May 1, somebody is going to clean up on it.

Of course, this isn’t your “regular” Grand Sport Vitesse, no sir. This one’s been specially commissioned by its original owner to pay tribute to Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers’ movie franchise. As such, the vehicle comes with several one-off Transformers-themed features both inside and out. Better still, it’s only got 3,200 miles (5,200 km) on the clock, so I’d go as far as to say that it should be in mint condition.

Easy-to-spot highlights include the Autobot symbol adorning the hood, as well as elements of the fenders and doors. You’ll find yet another such symbol inside, this time with a metallic finish. Meanwhile, there’s also an “alien” design pattern on the door panels, underneath the dark blue carbon fiber.

Speaking of the interior, it’s mostly a dual-tone black and blue leather aesthetic, with blue contrast stitching on the steering wheel, shifter and armrest. It’s a lot of blue, but to be fair it does match the exterior – and most hypercar owners do prefer vibrant designs over ones that some might consider understated.

Moving on, not only is this not your regular Bugatti, but it’s not a regular Veyron either. We’re dealing with a 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse model, which is the targa top version of the Veyron Super Sport. It was unveiled for the first time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, flexing its 1,183 hp (1,200 ps) and 1,100 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of torque like a champ.

In a straight line, this can get from zero to 60 mph in about 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 233 mph (375 kph) on normal roads. It can obviously go faster, but Bugatti decided to go with a speed limiter instead – not a bad choice. Otherwise, this car once held the title as “fastest open-top production sports car”, reaching 254 mph (408 kph) at the VW Group’s proving grounds in Ehra-Lessien.

Meanwhile, as far as Transformers-themed (or themed-adjacent) Bugattis are concerned, we’d also go as far as to say that this is the best we’ve ever seen.
