The used car market is far from stabilized, as some models cost more money than they did a couple of years ago. And we don't mean those high-end collectibles that keep a good chunk of the petrolhead crowd up at night, but some traditional rides.
This story focuses on the second example, a C4 Chevrolet Corvette, as mentioned in the title. The Bowtie brand made this generation from 1983 to 1996 at the Bowling Green facility in Kentucky, fitting it with several V8 engines over the years and giving it multiple transmission options.

Under that long hood sits a 5.7-liter engine hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission. The vendor mentions the magic numbers in the ad we'll link in a few moments, stating that it produces 300 horsepower (304 ps/224 kW) at 5,000 rpm and 320 pound-foot (434 Nm) of torque at 3,200 rpm.

Although nothing to write home about by today's standards, the output was impressive back in 1992 when this 'Vette saw the light of day. The sports model features a red exterior, rides on 17-inch alloys, and has a black top. The cockpit is mostly red, with a touch of black here and there, and we think it has aged great.

Some of the highlights include the power seats, a center-mounted digital screen, analog gauges, an AM/FM cassette and CD player, power windows and door locks, power hatch release, rear defogger, ABS, traction control, power steering, power brakes, and so on. You won't sweat inside this modern-classic 'Vette if you buy it, as it also features an air conditioning system.

This 1992 Chevrolet Corvette doesn't have that many miles under its belt for such a ride. Despite being born over three decades ago, the odometer currently reads 56,582 miles (91,060 km). And if you are worried about the usual wear and tear and other stuff that might require much money to mend, don't be, as it is squeaky clean and ready to hit the road again.

Some of the cheapest C4 Corvettes out there tend to change hands for a little over $3,000, whereas the hottest are valued at over $50,000. So, where do you think this one fits? You are right if you said in the middle, as it costs about the same money as America's cheapest new car, the Nissan Versa.

The subcompact model starts at $16,390 for the 2024MY, excluding destination and dealer fees, and this 'Vette has an asking price of $17,900. Garage Kept Motors advertises it here, so you know what to do if you want to buy it. Would you spend almost $18,000 on it or search the used car market for a more affordable example that requires a bit of work?
