The Pearl Cullinan. They built it and called it just like that. It is the work of the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Private Office in Dubai. The one-off was commissioned by a son as a surprise birthday gift for his father, a pearl enthusiast.
The Pearl Cullinan was commissioned in early 2022 by a longstanding Rolls-Royce client for his father's 90th birthday. The project started with the Regional Director and the Lead Designer meeting the father in order to understand his life story and build the car according to his passions.

And this is what came out of the hands of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke team. The SUV is painted Bespoke Pearl Rose, the color of the most prized pearl in the owner's collection, and it will not be available to any other customer in the future.

The paint unusually combines both metallic and pearlescent effects. To perfect the finish, the Bespoke team made around 30 different attempts. Each iteration was pre-checked under daylight simulation lamps at Goodwood and sent to the customer to make sure the color was correct when looked at under the sun in the Middle East. Experts made several test to make sure that the paint will not alter in heat and UV light.

A coachline applied by hand in Rose Gold paint matches the rose gold-plated Spirit of Ecstasy mascot on the hood and the Bespoke treadplates that show up when the doors open.

There are two different leather colors on board the luxury SUV. The front seats, where the father enjoys traveling as a passenger, right next to the chauffeur, are finished in his favorite Cashmere Grey. The Bespoke division used Ardent Red for the rear seats, taking inspiration from the cloth on which pearls are presented to customers.

Meanwhile, the burr walnut veneer replicates the wooden presentation boxes in which the pearls are handed over to customers upon purchase. There are the RR monograms embroidered in Rose Gold on the headrests and rear seat inserts in Grace White.

The Rolls-Royce's dashboard features the Arabic symbol for 'father' inlaid in stainless steel, and the dashboard clock is installed in a mother-of-pearl surround, with the dial and hands in rose gold. The center rotary dial is also finished with mother-of-pearl. No other Bespoke Rolls-Royce has ever received such extensive use of mother-of-pearl.

Taking customization to a whole new level on the one-of-one Rolls-Royce, the Bespoke Starlight Headliner shows the sky exactly as it was on the night and at the place the client's father was born.

The rear picnic tables, placed at the back of the rear seats, were handmade at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. Each of them integrates 1,351 individually selected pieces of mother-of-pearl. Each and every one of them was placed by hand in the surrounding burr walnut marquetry and sealed with clear lacquer. The upper surface displays a traditional Arabic design.

Rolls-Royce performed no modification on the engine, so the SUV is powered by the almighty V12, capable of generating 563 horsepower (571 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm). The model accelerates from 0 to 100 kph (0-97 kph) in 5.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 155 mph (250 kph).

The Pearl Cullinan is the first client Bespoke project commissioned through the Private Office Dubai. The luxury carmaker keeps the info on the price of this project under wraps.
