Rolls-Royce has accustomed customers with bespoke luxury models, some of them coming for a fortune in very limited numbers. So here comes another one, due to be revealed… today.
October 12 is the day that the luxury carmaker presents the new custom version of what seems to be, by the shape of the rear and by the proportions that it displays, the Ghost sedan. "A celestial phenomenon arrives," says the social media post that also includes a teaser video of the rear quarter of the car against a sunset scenery, as the camera slowly zooms out.

The date the car is due is the only information that we get. So can’t tell for sure if we are dealing with a new trim or a one-off creation, the kind that Rolls-Royce has been rolling out these past few years, with jaw-dropping prices.

One thing is for sure. If the luxury marque calls it a "celestial phenomenon," we should get "celestial" equipment as well. The Starlight headliner should be part of the plan, as well as special customization options in terms of colors and materials present on board. Customers would be able to personalize their sedan through the Bespoke Collective program.

This year, a bespoke Manchester Ghost was revealed back in April, when the brand celebrated the link with the British city. It is the place where the two founders of the company, Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, first met at the Midland Hotel in the city center. It was the moment when the two of them decided to create what they called right from the start "the best motor car in the world."

Rolls-Royce revealed a pair of bespoke ghosts in August at the Salon Price. The first one was finished in Tucana Purple, a shade reminiscent of the Southern night sky that surrounds the Tuscan constellation. It also sports a contrasting Lime Green Coachline and Lime Green Pinstripe tires. Interior details in Lime Green continue the exterior theme.

The second revealed back in August led the Tour Privé, a 120-mile concours journey through the picturesque Cotswolds.

The second generation of the Rolls-Royce Ghost made its debut back in 2020. The luxury sedan is powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, which is good for 563 horsepower (571 PS) and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque.

The model features all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering and can run from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 kph) in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 kph).

Stay tuned. We are soon to find out what the “celestial phenomenon” actually is, when Rolls-Royce reveals the bespoke Ghost luxury sedan at 8 AM ET (1 PM BST).
