Soccer star Mauro Icardi bought the world's most expensive car and one of the rarest Rolls-Royces out there. It is the super exclusive Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, which comes with a price of a quarter million dollars. The ultra luxury carmaker is only building three of those.
Galatarsary striker Mauro Icardi reportedly spent around $25 million to get the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail delivered to his home, following the completion of his transfer to Galatasaray after spending last season on loan from PSG.

The Argentinian soccer star kicked off the season with flying colors: he scored four goals in three league games and is enjoying a great shape. With a $6.6-million salary per year at Galatasaray and a net worth of $95 million, the 30-year old spent a staggering 26 million euros ($27,909,960 at the current exchange rate) to get the bespoke Rolls-Royce in his garage.

The Boat Tail is the world’s most expensive new car right now, starting at $25 million, dethroning the one-off Bugatti’s Voiture Noire, which came with a price tag of $19 million when the French carmaker unveiled it back in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.

Only three Rolls-Royce Boat Tail examples will be made, with the first and the second already unveiled. The billionaire rapper Jay-Z and his pop star wife Beyonce have reportedly purchased one as well. The third of the Boat Tails was sold to an industrialist who has earned his money in the pearl industry. This one will not be revealed to the public as requested by the owner.

It takes four years to put together by hand all the 1,813 components of the four-seater convertible. The model is equipped with special features: it has a parasol and a telescopic table, which open automatically, plus silver cutlery and porcelain plates from French luxury silverware maker Christofle. Bottles of champagne can be kept cold in one of the two refrigerators on board.

The ultra-luxury model is powered by Rolls-Royce’s 6.75-liter V12 engine, which generates 563 horsepower (571 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.

All three Boat Tails belonging to Mauro Icardi, Jay-Z and Beyonce, and the pearl industrialist share the same underpinnings and overall design. All based on Rolls-Royce’s Architecture of Luxury, each model is unique, featuring trims and equipment desired by those who commissioned it.

The front grille, called a Pantheon Grille, was made from a single, solid billet of aluminum. At the opposite end, the rear deck has a butterfly-hinged two-piece deck lid covering that super expensive picnic set. The deck is operated electrically.

The interior of each of the three Boat Tails is custom-made, but regardless of the owner, it involves the finest of leathers and the usual Rolls-Royce comfort creatures.
