The 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival is around the corner, and some fascinating boats will make their world debut at the prestigious six-day yachting event in the South of France. One of them is Prestige Yachts' new F4 model, the first in the company's F-Line of third-generation flybridge cruisers.
Prestige Yachts, a brand of French premier boatbuilder Groupe Beneteau, has unveiled renderings of the new 50-foot (15.2-meter) watercraft ahead of its world premiere in Cannes, showcasing a motor yacht focused on innovative design, high-end fittings, and "an unrivaled level of fit and finish."

According to the shipyard, the F4 flybridge yacht boasts a brand-new hull design penned by renowned naval architect and yacht designer Michael Peters. The exterior design is characterized by a more pronounced V-shape than previous models and a rounder, higher bow, which enhances stability, efficiency, and maneuverability.

"The first model of the new generation of the F-Line represents a significant evolution in the motor yacht segment between 40-70ft, where Prestige is the market leader, bringing innovations to meet client's expectations while remaining true to the brand's DNA," said Erwin Bamps, Vice President of Prestige.

Designed with plenty of outdoor living space and a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces, the F4 is meant to allow future owners to make the most of the French Riviera climate. Moreover, the new model seems to be part of the yard's move upmarket strategy, as its distinctive design, with softened lines and curves, an innovative layout, and high-quality materials, represents an evolution rather than a revolution for the flybridge motor yacht design.

Standout features on the outside include a fixed or hydraulic bathing platform at the stern and an infinity cockpit reached by twin staircases. The side decks are also outstanding, offering generous height and width and allowing a comfortable passage. The cockpit features freestanding furniture that the owners can arrange either in a conventional L-shape or facing each other to enjoy the seascape.

A wide staircase from the cockpit leads up to the well-appointed flybridge, which houses an outdoor galley, a dining area, as well as a convivial sunbathing and seating area near the helm, and can be sheltered by a bimini or a hard top.

Below decks, Prestige F4's layout breaks away from the norm. While boats in the same size category have the master cabin occupying the full beam amidships, F4's master suite is positioned forward and a few steps down from the saloon, allowing more privacy from the guest staterooms and shared living areas. It Includes an aft-facing king-sized bed, large wardrobes, and an en-suite bathroom. Windows in the hull and skylights in the ceiling keep the master suite well-lit.

Two additional guest cabins can be found amidships, a larger one with a double bed to starboard and a smaller twin to port.

The decor is influenced by the colors and reflections of the French Riviera, while the choice of materials adds character and richness to the vessel's interior. These include natural stone countertops, shaped wood, and rattan, as well as materials with environmentally sustainable components, such as recycled and sustainable fabrics.

In terms of performance, the new Prestige F4 will come equipped with twin 480hp Volvo Penta D6 turbo-diesel engines driving IPS 650 pod drives, which will endow the boat with a top speed of around 27 knots (31 mph/ 50 kph).

Large enough to be a comfortable home away from home yet small and nimble enough to be steered exclusively by the owner, the Prestige F4 shapes up to be a great option for yachtsmen who want to cruise in style and elegance.
