Who wouldn't like to own a modern yacht sporting the good looks and impressive performance of a James Bond movie boat? It didn't take long for this Italian pleasure craft to be snatched off the market, and it's easy to see why.
James Bond and high-speed luxurious yachts are a match made in heaven. It's no surprise that many wealthy yacht owners chose to name their toys after James Bond movies. The most famous one is, by far, John Staluppi, the American car magnate who owned no less than seven superyachts inspired by the iconic action figure.

Casino Royale, Diamonds Are Forever, Skyfall, and Octopussy are some of his best-known personal yachts. Each of these luxury toys worth millions of dollars has something in common with the James Bond movies, whether it is speed, glamor, and, ultimately, an undying love for action.

No Time to Die isn't part of this infamous fleet, yet it's a millionaire dream boat in its own right. It's one of the few Sanlorenzo SX88 in operation, launched just three years ago, in 2020. The prestigious Italian builder introduced the SX88 platform as an innovative 27-meter (88.5 feet) crossover with a unique and highly luxurious private loft.

This "loft" is actually the yacht's entire main deck, from stern to bow. It offers vast space thanks to a different approach to the flybridge helm station. With the SX88, Sanlorenzo turned this into an entirely enclosed space with self-operated windows on the sides, effectively freeing up the space on the main deck.
Mauro Micheli from Officina Italian Design styled the boat's exterior areas, while the acclaimed Piero Lissoni created the contemporary, minimalistic interiors.

No Time to Die is equally a high-speed boat born for thrilling rides and a so-called "social yacht," where relaxation and family fun are guaranteed. Triple Volvo Penta engines propel it at 23 knots (42.5 kph). Inside, it reveals a four-cabin configuration with a master suite, a VIP, a double, and a twin. Two more cabins are meant for a three-person crew.

Until now, No Time to Die has been successfully operating as a luxury charter yacht in Miami, with daily rates starting at $11,000. At 88 feet (26 meters), with a shallow draft and only 115 GT, it was an ideal option for cruising in the Caribbean.

Pre-loved yachts like this find new owners fast because nobody likes to wait at least two years for a brand-new yacht to be built from scratch. At $5 million, this three-year-old pleasure craft was also reasonably priced.

Still, it had to drop $1 million two months ago in order to become more attractive. It looks like it worked because the cheeky Sanlorenzo already changed hands and will be known as Mave from now on.
