As much as we like to talk about the carbon fiber tub of the new Vanquish and how much cooler it is than anything Aston has ever made, it's not a very fast car, more of a very fast gran tourer than a supercar.
This video from the Moscow Mile is one of the first we've seen of the car in drag racing conditions. Its first opponent at the Russian even is a BMW M5 with a Stage 2 kit from Hartge. Despite being slower over the 1/4 mile, the Vanquish wins the race hands down.
Its next opponent is a much more serious 700 horsepower Nissan GT-R by Ecutec, which flies off the line and leaves the Aston to eat its figurative dust. Be that as it may, in a world without money we'd take the Aston every time!
