The Maybach-AMG S 900 Is One Ugly Luxury Sedan – Fortunately, It's As Fake as Its Soul

We said it before and we'll say it again: certain vehicles are best left stock, and most luxury proposals fall into this category. Sadly, not everyone agrees, hence why there are countless tuned examples cruising the roads all over the world.
Whether they were built by Rolls-Royce, Bentley, or Mercedes-Maybach, these models can be modified to the teeth. And we're not only talking about the numerous wheel proposals but full-blown body kits that make them look too brash for their own good, often sprinkled with reupholstered interiors and the occasional power boost.

Fortunately for everyone involved, the one pictured above in the gallery is on the fake side of things. It has pixel manipulator emrehusmen to thank for the exaggerated redesign, as this is certainly not a ride for the faint of heart. If anything, Mansory would probably agree to disagree and might start working on a similar proposal. So, let's make sure the controversial tuner doesn't see these renderings.

Compared to the real thing, this Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has a reshaped grille that's narrower and taller. The bumper was additionally modified to feature larger side vents, and an apron was attached to the lower part, too. The hood is on the aggressive side, and the front fender trim and side skirt attachments were added as part of the digital redesign.

The same also goes for the beefed-up fenders that give the car a more muscular look, the redesigned rear bumper and diffuser, and the pair of spoilers decorating the roof and trunk lid. This luxury sedan sits closer to the asphalt and rides on a set of concave wheels with a multi-spoke pattern and a much larger diameter than the ones equipping the real thing.

The rendering artist gave it a bi-tone look, with the upper parts of the body sporting a black finish and the lower parts having a silver hue. The Maybach logos have larger proportions all around, and if you somehow missed it, this digital machine also features AMG badges, as the person behind it has imagined it as the first-ever Maybach-AMG.

They also gave it the S 900 moniker to signal the presence of a very potent engine under the hood, which, in an ideal world, would be a punchy V12 assisted by a pair of turbochargers. The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 uses a 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque and 621 hp (630 ps/463 kW) 6.0L bi-turbo V12, so it would have to be more powerful than that. The lesser S 580 comes with a bi-turbo V8, making 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) and 496 hp (500 ps/368 kW).

So, what's your take on the hypothetical Maybach-AMG S 900? Is it a yay or a nay in your book? It's definitely a nay for us, as it is too brash for its own good. However, it would be hard to say no to a collaboration between Maybach and AMG, wouldn't it?
