Following the punch-up that led to the ousting of Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear and the creation of The Grand Tour, everything changed for the better. For example, the boys moved their big green tent from location to location for every episode of the first season. But for the second season, the motoring show’s studio site for all episodes is a mansion in the Cotswolds, UK.
From Amazon: “Given their sore joints, struggling lungs and combined age of 158, the studio tent has been given a new home in a charming location in the Cotswolds.” And of course, you can apply to be in the audience and take part in the filming of the studio segments. Ticket applications end on Tuesday, October 3, and attendees will be treated with tea and snacks on location.

Scheduled to start airing by the end of the year, The Grand Tour Season 2 will shoot at the Great Tew Estate from October 25 to December 19. Choosing this place instead of any other is no coincidence, chiefly because Jeremy Clarkson lives approximately 10 miles away from there. “We'll keep the studio in one place, and given how accident prone they are at the minute, that can only be a good thing,” said Andy Wilman, the show's executive producer.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May will spend more than 100 days across five continents to create the material needed for season 2. Filming will take parts in countries that include Mozambique, Croatia, Dubai, Spain, Switzerland, as well as the state of Colorado and New York City. Amazon hasn’t confirmed how many episodes are in the offing for season two, though remember that the first series consists of 13 episodes and the trio’s contract with the American company is for a total of 36 episodes.

Other than the high-performance machines and goofing around, the most anticipated segment of The Grand Tour Season 2 is Richard Hammond’s crash. Even though the Rimac electric supercar went up in flames, the Hamster made a full recovery. And yes, Richard is back in the driver’s seat!
