As opposed to the $230,000 suggested retail price, $4,735 for the Blackline Specification Package sounds like a bargain for the all-new Flying Spur. Bentley came up with this option for customers who prefer a menacing look over chrome garnish on the exterior of their British luxobarge.
The blacked-out treatment starts with the Flying B hood ornament, followed by the bezels of the headlights and taillights, fender vents, window trim, door handles, and exhaust finishers. 21-inch wheels come standard but 22s are also available if you want to stand out furthermore.

“Sportier persona” and “even more powerful road presence” is how Bentley describes the Blackline Specification. From an aesthetic standpoint, we prefer this look over bling-bling details as long as the bodywork color is tastefully chosen. The V8 and V6 plug-in hybrid will get this package too, but for the time being, only the W12 is available in this flavor.

Displacing 6.0 liters and complemented by two thumpin’ turbochargers, the twelve-cylinder leviathan develops 635 PS (626 horsepower) and 900 Nm (664 pound-feet) without making too much of a ruckus. Like any other Bentley except for the Continental GT Supersports, this fellow here is tuned to provide a comfortable, quiet, serene driving experience.

As opposed to the previous generation, the newcomer also happens to handle a lot better thanks to Porsche’s Panamera platform. Internally known as the MSB for Modularer Standardantriebsbaukasten, this vehicle architecture was adopted by Bentley with the third-gen Conty.

If you thought the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is the fastest sedan on Earth, think again. As far as series-production cars are concerned, the Flying Spur W12 tops the Detroit interloper with a top speed of 207 miles per hour (333 kilometers per hour). For the sake of comparison, Dodge makes do with 204 mph for the standard model and 196 mph for the widebody option. The Alpina B7 doesn't even count at 205 miles per hour because it's a reinterpretation of the BMW 7 Series.

All-wheel steering, all-wheel drive, and Bentley Dynamic Ride are all featured, making this Flying Spur the most exciting yet. The interior, however, is the cheery on top thanks to greater attention to detail, better craftsmanship, and more technology than you’d find in the Mulsanne.
