With the electrification wave constantly growing, there’s never been a more favorable time for startups in the automotive industry. E-bikes and e-scooters are now familiar to most of us, but what’s interesting is that more and more young companies want to contribute to a green future and come up with innovative concepts.
Indian startup Kabira Mobility began by developing several electric scooters only a few years ago, and is definitely on a roll this year. After launching the KM3000 and KM4000 e-bikes at the beginning of the year, they are now introducing an eco-friendly scooter that is targeted at the industrial sector. Most specifically, the delivery industry. Which, by the way, is another one of those segments that has recently expanded, all over the world.

According to the brand’s research, vehicles used in last-mile delivery are responsible for a big part of daily carbon emissions. Plus, companies in this industry also face increased fuel costs. That is why alternative means of transportation, that are both sustainable and cost-effective, should be considered a viable solution.

Hermes 75 or “the electric bull” is an electric scooter specifically designed for delivery businesses, with high-speed and a generous cargo capacity. The minimalistic design shows that it’s not focused on looks, but rather on efficiency.

The 2500 W motor is able to reach a maximum speed of almost 50 mph (80 kph), with a total range of 74 mi (120 km). Plus, the swappable battery allows for extended riding, with fewer breaks.

And, of course, since it is meant for commercial delivery, the Hermes 75 also features a cargo box, with a total maximum load of 330 lbs. (150 kg).

The Hermes 75 is manufactured in India, at Kabira’s plant in Goa. The Indian startup has two plants and they also announced the opening of a third one, after the success of their latest e-bike releases.
