Skoda has just rolled out the 2024 Superb sedan and wagon. The fourth generation comes with new looks, is more spacious, and features new tech.
The new Skoda is here, and it brings back all the usual features of the model: space, practicality, and comfort. The Czech carmaker keeps the two body styles, the sedan-looking hatchback and the wagon that they refer to as a Combi, even though both body styles have their days numbered in the industry.

When they order the fourth generation, customers will have plenty of choosing to do. They can choose from eight body colors, seven different interior designs, and six powertrain options.

The model comes with Skoda’s new design language, that they call Modern Solid. The body can be painted in one of the eight options, with six of them being completely new: Purity White, Pebble Silver, Ebony Black, Cobalt Blue, Carmine Red, and Ice Tea Yellow.

The car has grown in every direction. It is now larger than the previous generation and has improved aerodynamics, with 0.25 for the Combi and 0.23 for the hatchback, which means an improvement of 15 and 10 percent, respectively. This translates into more efficiency in terms of fuel consumption.

A new octagonal grille, flanked by the second-generation LED Matrix beam headlights showed up at the front.

Both the hatchback and estate have grown and are now longer and taller than the third generation. The Combi is 40 millimeters longer and 5 millimeters taller, while the hatchback has an extra 43 millimeters in length and 12 millimeters more in height.

This translates into more legroom, headroom, and luggage space. The luggage compartment of the hatchback offers 645 liters of space (20 more than the previous generation), while the Combi has room for 690 liters (30 liters more). Wheels of up to 19 inches in diameter can be selected for the car.

Skoda has operated several changes on board as well. Customers can choose a 10- or a 13-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. There is a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, the Virtual Cockpit, which provides all the relevant driving information. The new generation comes with what Skoda calls the Smart Dials, the multi-functional system that allows quick and easy access to various features of the car, including air conditioning adjustment.

Seven different interior designs are available for the 2024 Skoda Superb, with focus on sustainability. All the textile materials that cover the seats and doors are made from 100% recycled polyester. Furthermore, now, the Rolls-Royce-style umbrella in the door is made from sustainable materials as well.

Customers can order one of the six engine options available. The lineup starts with the 1.5 TSI engine with mild hybrid tech and 148 horsepower (150 PS). Meanwhile, the 2.0 TSI offers either 201 horsepower (204 PS) or 261 horsepower (265 PS).

The 2.0-liter TDI is very much alive with either 148 horsepower (150 PS) or 190 horsepower (193 PS).

The sixth engine option is the plug-in hybrid that integrates a 1.5 TSI engine and an electric motor for a total of 201 horsepower (204 PS). The battery stores enough energy for an electric drive of up to 62 miles (100 kilometers) on the WLTP cycle. This powertrain will only be available with the Skoda Superb Combi.

The engines are mated to the seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The most powerful diesel and petrol variants come with all-wheel drive as standard.

Skoda has come up with a new generation of parking assistance systems, assisted driving, and blind-spot monitoring. Meanwhile, the DCC Plus Adaptive Chassis will be offered as an option. Up to ten airbags will be on board.
