The updated Genesis G70 has just set wheels on American soil. The new variant is quicker, sports upgraded equipment, and is slightly more expensive than the model it replaces.
The mid-size sedan gets a 300-horsepower entry-level version, equipped with Brembo brakes. Two powertrain options will be available for the customers to choose from. There will be the all-new 2.5-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder petrol engine and the 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6, also running on petrol.

The 2024 Genesis G70 2.5T starts at $41,500 in the US, $1,195 fee not included. For the money, the future owners get the rear-wheel drive version with 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, generated by the 2.5-liter engine, which is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The car is equipped with Brembo brakes and rides on 19-inch alloy wheels. The Genesis Highway Driving Assist safety and driver assistance features are on board. A touch-type climate control display and a frameless rear-view mirror are new on board. The multi-function switches, door and console garnish patterns, air vents, cup holders, and key fob have been updated.

There are heated front seats, while the driver gets the relevant information on an eight-inch digital instrument cluster with analog gauges. There is also a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Navigation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Those who want to get the all-wheel drive variant will have to pay $43,600, the price hike also bringing a heated steering wheel. Upper in the range, there is the Sport Prestige trim for which customers have to pay $4,200 more. That is the price for the 19-inch alloy wheels, sunroof, leather seating surfaces, alloy pedals, and acoustic front door glass, among others.

Genesis brings two new colors to the lineup, the Vatna Gray and Kawah Blue, both inspired by the volcanic landscapes of Iceland and Indonesia. Two new two-tone options are available for the cabin: Obsidian Black/Fog Gray and Obsidian Black/Vanilla Beige.

Meanwhile, the G70 3.3T starts at $49,950. The list of standard equipment includes the Lexicon Premium Audio, ventilated front seats, a large sunroof, and the dark chrome grille, which makes it instantly recognizable.

At the top of the range sits the G70 3.3T AWD with the Sport Prestige Trim. It is equipped with the electronically controlled suspension, plus a limited slip differential.

Drivers are getting a head-up display, while there are seats with Nappa leather seating surfaces. The Surround View Monitor 360-degree camera and the power trunk are also on the menu.

The 2024 Genesis G70 will hit showrooms in a few days, while deliveries are set to begin in the first quarter of next year. The G70 fights the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Cadillac CT4, and Volvo S60 in the premium mid-size sedan segment.
