It was early summer in the northern hemisphere when we wrote about one ultra-hot Trans Am that was looking for a new home, and since over eight months have passed since then, we naturally assumed that it is no longer for sale.
However, we were wrong, as not only is it still searching for a new owner, but it has become cheaper in the process. Well, cheap is an overenthusiastic word, as there is nothing affordable about this Trans Am. In fact, it is still eye-watering expensive at $197,900, down from the previous asking price of $234,900.

The $37,000 difference could land you a brand-new Ford Mustang, albeit with the EcoBoost engine under the hood. This 2019 Trans Am Super Duty 455, on the other hand, boasts in excess of 1,000 horsepower and over 1,046 pound-foot (1,418 Nm) of torque. The supercharged 7.4L V8 comes with a manual gearbox that delivers everything to the rear axle.

But what exactly is this model? Well, a rebadged Chevrolet Camaro signed by Trans Am Worldwide. Inspired by the second-generation Fiberbird, it features different front and rear fascias, the typical decal on the hood, exclusive logos, Michelin tires wrapped around the Y-spoke wheels, diagonally-stacked tailpipes, and a few special touches on the inside, like the Firebird logo on the headrests and other components.

Trans Am Worldwide made only 50 copies of this model, and this one is said to be car number 12. It was modified in 2019 using a 2017 Camaro as a starting point, and despite being one hot ride with an excessive amount of power available via the right pedal, it hasn't seen much action over the last five years. The odometer currently reads 1,605 miles (2,583 km), so it is basically a brand-new machine with a certificate of authenticity accompanying it that proves the mods are legit.

We don't know about you, but forking out close to $200k for what is still a Chevy Camaro, albeit one that is as powerful as the original Bugatti Veyron, isn't for everyone, especially since you could land a real blue-blooded exotic for that kind of money. Therefore, we think it will be a while until this 2019 Trans Am Super Duty 455 finds itself a new home, and by then, it might become even more affordable.

Thus, you may want to keep an eye on the ad if you're planning on making it yours, and you should contact the vendor, Garage Kept Motors, and make an offer. Who knows, maybe they'll say yes. On a final note, if you buy it, please show it some action at your local drag strip, as it deserves to be put through its paces down the quarter mile against other hot rides.
