When Elon Musk said autonomous driving is easy to achieve, the automotive world raised an eyebrow and replied with the traditional 'easier said than done' line.
Bosch, however, seem to have found a way to transform the popular all-electric Tesla Model S into a self-driving vehicle. There's a twist to this claim since they only published a CGI-created video.

The short clip is more like a teaser for Bosch Mobility Solutions' vision of how a self-driving car should behave in traffic, when will the driver control it and when will the computer do the job.

Coincidentally or not, they used a Tesla Model S as a virtual test prototype, which leaves us wondering whether Elon Musk is looking to team-up with Bosch for a future self-driving system available on Tesla models.

There's a lot of speculation to be ignited from here, but let's focus on what Bosch sees as a safe and reliable autonomous driving experience.

The system would only provide autonomous driving on a limited number of areas - especially motorways - but the user can activate this mode by simultaneously pressing two buttons on the steering wheel for the same time.

Let's take a moment and reflect on this. Let's say that technically, suppliers such as Bosch and visionary carmakers like Tesla could come up with a working self-driving system. Would you trust it to drive you around the city or on a busy highway?

Furthermore, as Bosch claims a trip in an autonomous car would be safe, relaxing, productive and entertaining, how can we know it won't freak out drivers? Even if loads of visual and acoustic warnings kick-in when the car can't maintain the self-driving mode on anymore, is this solution safe?
