Suzuki Appoints New Distribution Partners

The British division of Japanese manufacturer Suzuki announced today it has appointed two new companies in charge with the distribution of the products of the Suzuki Body & Paint Program. The new appointments will bring the total number of partners to 120 (out a planned total of 122).

The two new partners are part of a broader plan created by Suzuki to bring more body and paint distributors to the help of the existing network of 150 dealers in the UK. The two selected today, ACIS and IRIS Coatings, have been picked because of their logistics, which will allow Suzuki's products to be distributed at a national level.

“The approved Body and Paint programme is a core part of our Aftersales business and appointing both ACIS and IRIS Coatings will help ensure we deliver reliable and high quality support to our network,” said the carmaker's National Aftersales Manager, James Richardson.

The Suzuki Body & Paint Program has been launched in the UK last year, when the carmaker announced its intention to open no less than 122 approved bodyshops. The goal of the program is to speed up both the quality and the speed of repair work on Suzuki's models.

“We recognised the importance of unveiling the body and paint programme to ensure stricter quality control within the repair network,” Denis Houston, Suzuki's director of aftersales told the media when the program was announced.

“In the future, the scheme will enable a closer relationship between dealers, repairers and motorists which is of great benefit to all parties.”
