Ideally in life you get what you deserve, be it good or bad. Well, one driver from Argentina got just that when he carelessly parked his car in the shopping cart section of an underground parking at the mall.
It happened in Temperley, a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, outside a Coto supermarket. A gray Peugeot 308 was parked in the section reserved for shopping carts so staff at the supermarket made sure they got back at him for it.
According to Arnold Angelini, who posted photo of the prank on his Facebook, they took time out from their job and made sure the careless driver would waste considerable time when he returned to his car, in order to get it out. So much for making a “quick” run for some groceries.
“The truth is someone has to be a moron to have parked in the section for ‘shopping carts’,” Angelini writes. “You can’t be such an SOB and leave it anywhere. You can tell that no one respects nothing much less an undue place. Applause to the employees who left the vehicle closed off.”
Angelini’s post has gone viral since it was posted, with many commenters praising the same employees for the way they responded to such an instance of entitlement and disrespect. Angelini tells local media that he’s happy the staff took matters into their own hands, especially since no damage was done to the driver’s property.
Unfortunately, despite the popularity of the prank, no other details about it have emerged.
In other words, we’d still like to know how long it took the dude (or dudette, you never know with these things) to personally remove all the shopping carts to make room to get out. It would also be nice to know whether they learned their lesson and will park only in allowed places from now on.
