After showing you some leaked pictures yesterday, today we present you the real Subaru WRX Concept, as it was unveiled at the New York Auto Show recently.
The study adopts a four-door coupe style, with aggressive details like muscular wheel arches, a powerbulge on the hood, massive diffuser and 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The concept measures 4,521 mm (178 inches) in length, 1,889 mm (74.4 inches) wide and it is 1,389 mm (54.7 inches) tall, with a wheelbase of 2,761 mm (108.7 inches). This makes it slightly shorter, lower and wider than the Impreza Mk4 sedan and it’s wheelbase is 116,8 mm (4.6 inches) longer.
Technical specification were not mentioned. The only thing that the Japaneese carmaker said was that the powerbulge "provides clearance for the new turbocharged engine and intercooler" and that the car has a carbon-fiber roof to “enhance the already low center of gravity and reduce weight."
We’ve seen what Subaru’s approach towards the WRX is, now let’s hope we will see Mitsubishi’s opinion on their future Evo model.
