Length is just a number – even the tiniest homes on wheels can turn out to be wonderfully spacious and comfortable. It's all about how the owners feel inside a tiny home and whether comfortable living can be sustainable in the long term. This colorful yet minimalist model feels much bigger than its actual size and a lot more practical than you'd expect.
The Mobi 02 Currant boasts a classic look. Built on the brand's popular Mobi 02 platform with a dual-loft configuration, this tiny house matches its eye-catching exterior with a well-designed interior that feels modern and traditional at the same time. It was built on a dedicated tiny house trailer with just a little over seven meters (23 feet) in length and less than three meters (9.8 feet) in width, which makes it a medium-sized option – not too big or too small.

Mobi House designs are known for their vividly colored exteriors, inspired by various elements in nature, mostly flowers, trees, and fruits. The Mobi 02 Currant flaunts a delicious berry color in a dark shade, beautifully highlighted by the white window and door frames. In other words, this tiny stands out in the best way. Behind the head-turning appearance, the Currant tiny is built to be a solid, reliable home, starting with the use of high-quality materials.

Founded by a young family, Mobi House is committed to building homes with a friendly microclimate, which is why it imports raw materials from Scandinavia. The beauty of these natural materials shines through each Mobi House design. The Currant tiny shows off its beautiful siding and modern interior with white walls, high-quality floors, and signature furniture.

In terms of layout, the Currant tiny leans towards a traditional approach. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel; it just makes the most of a classic dual-loft configuration with an open-plan ground floor. Modular furniture plays an important part in making minimalism work. Mobi's famous convertible sofa is omnipresent. Inside the Currant, this built-in sofa takes up one end of the home. It's strategically placed by an oversized window and practically surrounded by beautiful views.

This type of sofa is almost a must-have for small dwellings because it's a 3-in-1 item. Primarily a lounge sofa, it also offers generous storage in the form of large drawers underneath and can also be converted into a guest bed. Next, the pop-up table in the kitchen is another essential piece of furniture. Instead of a longer countertop that would take up a lot of space and require a different layout, this simple, custom table offers an easy solution for comfortable dining while also saving space. When not in use, you'd hardly even notice it.

If you look up, you'll also spot the folding chairs and the loft ladder, carefully stored in the kitchen area and above the main entry, respectively. This is another clever hack to save precious floor space and ensure an obstructed flow inside the home. One thing you'll immediately notice about the Currant is how airy and luminous it looks despite being packed with all the basics of a functional home. Having plenty of space to walk around, add storage, and easily go from one end of the house to the other has a lot to do with that.

Many tiny homes in this size category have a compact lounge immediately next to the kitchen. The Currant tiny enjoys a wide surface between the lounge and the kitchen; it's like a neutral, flexible area that could be used in multiple ways. It turns the lounge into a spacious, welcoming indoor/outdoor space for entertaining guests and enjoying summertime celebrations. The beautiful, wide glass doors add a contemporary touch to this classic layout, opening it up to the outside world.

With these glass doors and two large windows, Currant's lounge area stays flooded with natural light. The other half of the house is big on storage. People who need a well-packed kitchen will be happy to see all the cabinets, cupboards, and drawers inside the Currant's kitchen.

Instead of large windows, this design features tiny windows and big overhead cupboards for extra storage. The staircase storage isn't limited to a couple of tiny drawers, boasting large closets instead. The most compact area of the home is the tiny bathroom hiding behind a rustic pocket door – it's not the most comfortable bathroom you could wish for, but it's fitted with good-quality appliances.

This tiny house can accommodate at least five people. The larger loft can be considered a master bedroom: it features carpeted flooring, two generous windows on each side, and a beautifully crafted open-work handrail made of wood. The smaller loft is accessed via a ladder. It comes with just one tiny window and open-work handrails on each side.

The small decorative touches are another one of the Currant's ingenious features. The handrails double as decorative elements that add elegance to the simple layout. The feature wall in a natural wood shade adds visual depth to the lounge area. Last but not least, the Scandinavian-inspired color palette with lots of white and natural wood creates a tranquil, inviting ambiance that amplifies the luminous effect. The Mobi 02 Currant manages to strike a balance between day-to-day functionality and contemporary minimalism.
