smart fortwo becomes smart forValentine's Day [Chocolate]

Let's talk about you and me, let's talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be. Actually, let’s talk about Valentines’ Day. Not any kind of Valentine’s Day, but the Japanese one.

In Japan, there’s a tradition which says that women have to buy chocolate for men on this occasion. However, anybody knows that what men really want (wow! so this is what men want, not all the stuff you read in women’s magazines) is a nice car.

Knowing all this, Tadaaki Wakamutsu, a Japanese designer of luxury jeweler and chocolatier Q-Pot, decided to combine the two concepts, as autoblog reports. Building a car out of chocolate, or covering one in the precious “material” wouldn’t have been too feasable, so this pathway was ruled out. Instead, the designer created a smart fortwo that looks like it is made of chocolate.

The vehicle comes with a special color scheme, mixing brown gold and patterned sections - these are used for the doors and, if you ask us, inspire you to eat your way in/out of the car. We’re not pretty sure if this is actually a masculine approach, but we have to admit that the idea is interesting.

Unfortunately, the story is bitter-sweet. Yes, you guessed it, we are going to mention the price for all this play. The “chocosmart” is offered for a price of JPY2.36 million ($28,000), a hefty increase over the fortwo’s standard price of JPY1.84 million ($22,000).
