With all the recent newcomers to the pickup game, including the electric proposals that have gotten enthusiasts talking about them, it is easy to forget that certain models, like the Nissan Frontier, exist.
Completely unrelated to the international variant, which is basically a rebadged Nissan Navara, America's Frontier is a smaller and less pricey alternative to the Titan that outsells it by a wide margin.

For the 2024 model year, the automaker offers the Frontier with an MSRP of just under the $30,000 mark. The King Cab S is followed by the SV. Further up the lineup sit the S and SV versions of the Crew Cab and the Crew Cab Long Bed SV. The Crew Cab Pro-X and SL top the family, with the latter being the most expensive option that starts at $39,640 before destination and dealer markups.

All versions have standard two-wheel drive, but the four-wheel drive system is an option across the range. As for the power, it is supplied by a 3.8-liter V6. Married to an automatic transmission with nine gears and rear- or four-wheel drive, the engine produces 310 hp (314 ps/231 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 281 pound-feet (381 Nm) of torque at 4,400 rpm. The potent truck has a maximum towing capacity of 6,640 pounds (3,012 kg) and a 1,590 lbs (721 kg) maximum payload.

Due to its body-on-frame construction, America's Nissan Frontier can certainly handle itself on all kinds of arduous tracks. The four-wheel drive system is a must if you want to venture off the lit path every now and then, and a set of chunkier tires would also be required. However, the pictured copy has managed to render its off-roading prowess useless, as it looks more like a show car worthy of sitting under the spotlight at a tuner's booth.

Fortunately, it is as fake as those modifications. It came to life signed by hugosilvadesigns on Instagram, and it immediately stands out due to the slammed stance. It rides much closer to the asphalt than most of today's sports cars, has a wide body kit, a chunky apron up front, a pair of side skirt attachments, a sporty diffuser out back, and a tailgate spoiler for additional look-at-me purposes. The wide alloys contribute to the looks, and it has a blue finish and extra tinted windows all around.

We can totally understand the need to show off, and we certainly won't judge you if you admit to liking this Nissan Frontier. After all, everyone is different, and what gets our hearts racing may not apply to you. But we will definitely appreciate you even more if you don't like this pickup at all. So, where do you stand on that?
