Skoda has recently revealed a teaser photo of the upcoming Rapid Sport model ahead of its official unveil at the 32nd edition of the famous Volkswagen tuning event in Worthersee, Austria.
Based on the standard Skoda Rapid, the Sport version features a contrasting body finish of Steel Gray and Corrida Red stripes, matched by the 19-inch alloy rims painted in the same orange tint.
Other exterior enhancements includes redesigned front and rear bumpers, dual exhaust pipes, flared wheel arches, tinted windows and carbon fiber lower trimmings. The interior features are a bit obscure for the moment, but the automaker said that it will have Recaro seats, sport steering wheel and illuminated door sills.
With the release of the Rapid Sport, Skoda wants to “demonstrate the competence of its team regarding sporty vehicles and motorsports”, as Skoda’s sales and marketing board member Werner Eichhorn said.
