When we saw the new Skoda Octavia in person, we realized its boot is so big that it can handle two very large adults sitting side by side in there. Mind you, we're not even talking about the Combi, since the liftback sedan is one amazingly spacious machine.
Soon though, there will be an Octavia that you can carry all your kids in, drop them off at school and enjoy some track action in. The third generation Skoda Octavia RS will make its official debut at July's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.

The new Octavia RS is of course built on the same MQB platform as the Golf GTI and the next SEAT Leon Cupra. Hower, it will be the least powerful and most practical of the bunch.

The Skoda hot sedan will be available with a 210 hp 2.0 TSI and a 185 hp 2.0 TDI. There's even a rumor going around that it will be available with all-wheel drive, something a lot of Skoda fans have been asking us about.

A Skoda Octavia RS prototype has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring recently ahead of its official debut this summer. Despite of its red brake calipers and small rear wing, it looks like your average family car.

Composure is key at the track, but we don't think the Octavia will be as good as the new Golf GTI. That car is now available with a limited slip diff that's electronically controlled, but VW never lets Skoda have its brand new technology.
