Czech automaker Skoda has released new details and photos with the 2013 Combi 4x4 model, which is scheduled to go on sale starting next month.
Fitted with an improved all-wheel-drive system and the latest Haldex 5 Clutch, the Octavia Combi 4x4 is said to impress its customers with secure handling on difficult terrain and offer “middle-class qualities at a compact-car price”. 102 kg lighter that the previous version, the new 4x4 station wagon also comes with up to 17 percent improved fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
Three engines are available on the Octavia Combi 4x4, with the base 1.6-liter TDI diesel boasting 105 HP. The more powerful 2.0-liter TDI unit offers 150 HP, while the 1.8-liter gasoline powerplant is good for 180 HP. All three choices will have start-stop and an energy recuperation system as standard.
Other standard features include the Electronic Differential Lock, knee and rear side airbags, folding hooks for shopping bags and an ice scraped in the fuel filler cap.
