Skoda has announced that it will begin selling their all-new Octavia in India, where the model is slated to replace the previous generation car. However, Skoda did not sell the old Octavia under its original name, being called Laura for the Indian market.
The new, larger and more advanced car will go on sale in India by the end of 2013, and they have not announced any pricing information, yet. However, the price difference will probably be equal to that of the European version of the car.
It will be sold with just part of the full range of petrol and diesel engines (though it will get both), and if the Laura is anything to go by, they will also offer the hot vRS model in India, as well. We have already seen the vRS version, and we are eagerly awaiting its full unveiling - the 1.6-liter TDI will probably be one of the top sellers.
More details will become available closer to the car's official launch date.
