The new Skoda Octavia range is easily starting to unfold in front of us. The Czech carmaker officially introduced the sedan, we’ve also seen the leaked images of the hot RS version, as well as a rendering of the hatchback and now it’s time for the estate.
We’ve got a fresh set of spy photos that reveal the upcoming estate or Combi, as it will be called on certain markets. The sedan incarnation of the vehicle is already an incredibly spacious proposition and the estate will take this even further. The vehicle will keep the traditional visual approach of the current generation, in order to maximize interior room for the passengers, as well as luggage capacity. To give you an idea of how luggage-thirsty the new Combi will be, we’ll tell you that the new Octavia sedan has a boot capacity of 589 L (20.8 cu. ft.)

The Combi is expected to borrow most of the sedan’s engines, with the latter offering petrol units with outputs ranging between 86 and 180 hp and diesels that play between 105 and 150 hp. The vehicle will also come with a multitude of new features, such as the adaptive cruise control - you can see the radar system in the lower front fascia of the tested prototype.

The new Skoda Octavia Estate is set to arrive in May 2014 and it will also be launched with an optional four-wheel drive system.
