Due in 2014, the load-lugging variant of the all-new MQB-underpinned VW Golf Mk. VII has just been rendered at teophiluschin.com, in order to give us a better idea of what to expect, when it does finally arrive. As is the case with all VWs, the front of the car will be identical to that of the hatchback, and the only noticeable differences start after the B-pillar.
The roofline will be slightly higher, and not slope down like in some other more style-conscious estate models towards the rear of the car, thus granting the car an additional 120 liters of load space, as well as a square opening at the rear, so that even large items can be slid out with ease.

The engine range will be carried over completely unchanged, while the rear of the car will feature slightly taller and softer springs and dampers, to better control the extra mass over the rear wheels, as well as making the car ride better. Check out these spyshots to see what the car actually looks like, albeit covered in camouflage.
