Skoda Octavia Ends Up On Its Roof After Failed Overtaking Manoeuvre

This is one of the more spectacular crashes we`ve posted recently, and it shows the driver of a Skoda Octavia, how he or she fails severely during a simple overtaking manoeuvre.
The Octavia, a car underpinned by the Volkswagen Golf MK IV, is a stable, well-sorted and good handling car, so seeing it veer to the left like that, as if out of the blue is a bit odd.

Watching the video a few times, we say it all comes down to driver error.

The car veers left, hits the compact snow on the side of the road, obliterating the entire front part of the vehicle in an instant. It then rolls and ends up on its roof, right in front of the truck which got everything on video, via a dash-mounted camera.

If the driver and possible passengers were wearing their seat belts, then everybody would have walked away from this crash. However, if they weren't wearing their seat belts, then this crash would have caused far more extensive injuries.
