We here at autoevolution strongly promote safe driving and we post crash videos to show you what and how to do whatever it takes not to crash. However, it seems that not many people from Russia are watching these videos, as the number of crashes seems to be on the rise (more new videos every day).
One of the main weak points of the Russian drivers is overtaking, especially outside of towns, where speeds are greater and so too is the level of danger. Why are all these drivers in such a hurry that they are willing to risk their lives for an extra few secodns? Doesn’t that seem a bit extreme?
Overtaking should only be done when you have enough room to pass whatever it is you want to pass, when no cars are trying to pass you, when you know you have enough power under the hood to make the pass safely, and you should always indicate when passing - never do it without as it could seriously confuse other drivers and, not indicating alone can cause a serious crash!
