This is yet another failed overtaking maneuver, from Russia. This time, the driver of an unidentified SUV does not calculate distances and gaps correctly, and ends up planting his ride into the front of an oncoming truck. The impact is quite sever, and the SUV’s rear door-mounted spare tire flies off in the impact.
Also, the front of the SUV is quite severely damaged. The impact almost causes the truck to fly off the side of the embankment, to the side of the road, as its driver tries to avoid the impact. However, there was nothing that could have been done, aside from braking, as the driver of the SUV had no business being in the oncoming lane at that given time.
No word on injuries, but we say the impact wasn’t severe enough to put anybody’s life in danger, and if the passengers were wearing their seatbelts (which they probably weren’t), then they should not have gotten more than a few bruises.
