Skoda Felicia Sketches Released by Italian Student

Skoda Felicia SketchSkoda Felicia Sketch
Skoda is expected to release a new model soon in the form of a new entry-level vehicle for its range.

The car, which is expected to use the Felicia name, should be based on the Polo sedan’s platform. The upcoming vehicle could be engineered as a sedan version of the Fabia with low-cost accents.

The Felicia will try to reached two main targets. The first one will be to replace the Octavia Tour in Skoda’s range (this is the first generation of the Octavia, which is marketed alongside the current one as a low-cost vehicle). The vehicle will also become a rival for the Renault/Dacia Logan, which has been a very successful vehicle, thanks to its good cost/quality ratio.

The saloon will be offered with a choice of two petrol engines (a 1.4 liter and a 1.6 liter) and a 1.6 liter TDI unit, and will aim to offer a generous interior space.

However, Skoda is letting us wait for the release of the model, so the independent automotive designers have decided to create their own version of the Felicia. This is exactly what the vehicle from the adjacent sketch is. Created by an industrial design student from Italy and published by automocionblog, the images reveal an innovative concept for the low-cost vehicle.

The study combines traditional Skoda elements with ultra-modern design features. It comes with a special feature for the rear side, as it features an interchangeable panel (window included) that allows the user to transform it from a hatchback to a station wagon. It also features plastic protection elements for the doors.
