Superyachts have grown to be more than just a status symbol; they act as a private haven for countless people around the world, and you don't even need to be a millionaire to own one; simple mathematics will show you how. As for one machine that's currently up for grabs, the Cadet V is the target in question today, so balance that checkbook, grab your favorite waterwear, and let's go.
Folks, the Cadet V is a yacht that's recently been announced as being for sale through Northrop & Johnson, one of the world's most prestigious brokerage firms. But, the real-ticket item here is the fact that this puppy is going for €5.7M ($6.1M at current exchange rates), and while that may seem like a whole lot of cash to be spending alone on something like this, take note that up to 9 guests can call this puppy home.

If you haven't caught onto what I'm trying to say here is that for around $670K, you and nine other friends can all pitch in and own a friggin floating mansion! That's literally less than the price for some of the more extravagant RVs I've written about. As for what that cash will get us, that's really the purpose of this piece.

Now, the Cadet is built by none other than Dominator Yachts, a crew known for building nothing more than bespoke vessels for its clients. In short, it's a one-of-a-kind machine, and while it was launched back in 2018, its interior and exterior have fared against the elements with flying colors. Some interior furnishings have been replaced to freshen up the place a bit for its new owners.

Speaking of exteriors and interiors, two teams are responsible for what we see. The sharp yet flowing exterior is the work of none other than Alberto Mancini, a gentleman whose work we've covered on countless occasions. Considering he's worked on some of the world's most lavish and awarded vessels and builders, whoever steps up to the plate and puts their finger on this one is really buying a truly special ship.

Kick back for a moment and really take in the images we see, depicting all the little spaces and nooks and crannies hidden on the two decks. Picture yourself soaking up the sun at the bow lounge, upon that massive sunbed, or heading up to the sundeck up top. Is sunlight not your thing? Don't worry; a large bimini with retractable portions lets you control just how dark of a tan you get.

Speaking of this high point on the Cadet, imagine waking up after a night of partying or simply lounging around and having breakfast in this very spot. The sun rising over the horizon invited you to a brand new day filled with activities often reserved for the more financially endowed among us.

After the morning meal, let's head down to the main deck, and after letting everything digest and making plans with the gang, it's time to split up and see what else Cadet V has to offer. Some of the group members head to the beach club, where a section of the Cadet unfolds to reveal a floating diving platform and access to the interior of the craft where your snorkeling and diving gear await. As for the folks who decide to lounge around for a while longer, a flawless interior awaits.

Now, upon seeing the interior the Cadet V offers its future owners, I couldn't help but be reminded of rooms in one of Bruce Wayne's manors, and all of it is the work of none other than Luca Catino Yacht and Design, a crew that's been active in this industry for over 15 years.

Just take a look at the play between materials, tones, and textures throughout spaces such as the main lounge, staterooms, and even the smaller guest rooms in the mix. A blend of fabrics, semiprecious metals, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls invite owners with dark tones and gleaming surfaces.

Best of all, these rooms have a sort of shape-shifting effect to them. I say this because, at night, these colors create dark spaces, just perfect for not tearing holes in your eye sockets, but during the day, things change, often revealing gleaming surfaces in the sunlight. Enjoy the 270-degree views of the world around you.

As for the all-important master bedroom, the Cadet V invites those who draw the longest straw with a beam-to-beam space with a skylight above a king bed, ensuite bathroom, workspace, and private lounge. Access to the outside is also possible right from this room. What more could we ask for?

Now, I started this article by stating that we've been going about the whole yacht living idea all wrong; this lifestyle is NOT reserved for those among us who make money while they sleep, but also for those who have a sense of brotherhood and sharing. You and eight other friends or family members can live aboard and own ships like the Cadet V with just some simple mathematics. From here, you can even charter it during the colder months, but that's a story for another time.
