The fifth generation of the iconic Land Rover Range Rover was introduced to the public in late 2021 and then went mainstream in 2022. Initially, it was met with fierce criticism regarding its subtle design overhaul, but now it's one of the most beloved luxury SUVs across the aftermarket realm.
At least in America, where the Range Rover starts at $107,400 and can be had with standard or long wheelbase options, as well as the P400 MHEV, P550e plug-in hybrid, and a couple of V8 configurations. The latter includes the P530 models rocking 523 horsepower and a new P615 version for the flagship Range Rover SV variants that can start from as high as $209k and $234k for standard and long-wheelbase versions.
Unfortunately, we do not know which powertrain option was used for this custom Range Rover that was subtly retouched by the (in)famous experts at RDB LA at their shop in Hollywood, California. Well, it might not even matter too much, as the owner probably wanted to stand out in a visual crowd rather than at the local racetrack. As such, the changes are primarily subtle yet thoroughly impactful – and they're certainly on point for anyone who enjoys Marvel's Silver Surfer comic book character.
If real, the hero would probably drive something like this – a Range Rover luxury SUV tucked lower on RDB's 24-inch wheels and with body accents repainted to match the gray shade. Other than that, the Range Rover eludes the monochrome atmosphere thanks to the black-painted A, B, and C pillars, making it look even more like a spaceship on land.
Most likely, the driver won't be going on adventurous trails anytime soon. Still, this Range Rover is not necessarily a mall crawler either – instead, it's a thoughtful remake of one of the best luxury SUVs currently on the market that just exudes elegance and good taste. It's something that's hard to obtain these days, even when speaking of RDB LA's creations. But there's no need to take our word for granted.
Just take a look at some of their latest customization and personalization projects, which include a couple of silvery Maybach S-Class limousines dropped on matching or contrasting RDB Wheels that remind us of days long gone past yet still feel utterly modern. Also, be sure to also hear that Chevy Camaro ZL1 wrapped in Gloss Army Green and fitted with a nicely feisty Borla exhaust setup. Oh, and let us not forget about that purple widebody Rolls-Royce Cullinan with a white interior and white-wall tires or the astonishing Lambo dressed in orange!
