Shakira Tour Reaches UK

Christmas comes a week early in the UK this year, as the Sun Comes Out European tour of Shakira is hitting the British isles this week. Sponsored by Spanish car manufacturer Seat, the tour in the UK will comprise four concerts.

The first one already took place yesterday, on the MEN Arena in Manchester. Last night's concert will be followed by the ones in the Odyssey Arena Belfast on Friday, December 17, the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow on Sunday, December 19 and on London’s O2 Arena on Monday, December 20.

The music tour is adorned by the manufacturer with the release of the Ibiza Good Stuff edition, a model based on the Ibiza 1.4 SE and equipped with TomTom satnav system, unique Seat dashboard dock and cradle, black iPod Nano 8GB, iPod docking station and Bluetooth hands-free phone system.

All of the above come on top of the existing features: electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, front fog lights with cornering function, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, six-speaker MP3, trip computer and speed-sensitive electro-mechanical power steering.

The version will be offered on the UK market for both the three- and five-door versions of the model, for prices starting at GBP12,424. For that money, you also get the 1.4l 16V petrol engine under the hood.

The unit has an output of 85 PS at 5,000 rpm, which translates into an acceleration time of 11.8 seconds and a top speed of 110 mph.

“Shakira's UK concerts are sure to be a huge hit, and SEAT is very happy to once again be associated with this international superstar's European tour,
” said Seat UK marketing director Steve Robertson.
