More good news from BMW. The German manufacturer just announced that starting with November, the LCI F10 5 Series will be available with the so-called BMW Parking Assistant, the company's first attempt at automatic parking.
According to the Munich-based giant, their system will be the most advanced one on the market at the moment. Why is that? Well, usually, this kind of features park your car but you still have to change gears whilst doing it.
With BMW, the system changes gears automatically. Therefore, all you have to do is activate the relevant turn signal and hold down the Parking Assistant button while the vehicle does everything for you.
Another interesting feature that will make its debut on the LCI 5er starting with November and F15 X5 starting with December, is the Traffic Jam Assistant. This optional feature will allow you to set a distance the car has to keep from the car in front of you and the automobile will practically drive itself.
Unlike any other cruise control device, the BMW invention will even get your 5er or X5 to stop and start again, perfect for traffic jams all over the world. Furthermore, with the Traffic Jam Assistant will also keep you in lane, but you do have to keep at least one hand on the wheel.
