Spanish carmaker SEAT is trying hard to make a new name for itself, but it will take a while before Europe will take the struggling brand seriously again. But one car we’ve always like in some ways is the Leon, as it really is more than just a Golf in a salsa frock.
Now, there’s a new version of the FR sports model, and it’s called the Supercopa Edition, named after SEAT’s one-make racing series. It might not look like a race car though, but its fresh bumpers, sideskirts and tailgate wing show it means business. And the 18-inch BBS wheels will any fan of go-fast hatchbacks.
The FR+ Supercopa is available with a choice of either a 2.0-liter TDI with 170 hp or a 211 2.0-liter turbo from the Golf GTI.
