Seat Exeo SportTourer 3D Video Rendering Released

The first official images of the station wagon version of the new Seat Exeo have surfaced in the shape of a 3D rendering video. The video was found by historiasdelmotor.com, who supposedly got it from Seat's Belgium branch, for some reason.

The wagon, to be called Exeo SportTourer, will make its first public appearance at this year's Geneva Auto Show, but if you have a deja-vu feeling while looking at it, don't fret. This looks a lot like the previous generation of the Audi A4 Avant for a reason.

Just like its Audi twin (and dead) brother, the Exeo is built on the Audi B7 platform, which kind of makes it an automotive version of a resurrection, or reincarnation. The old Audi A4 lineage is clearly seen in the side profile, but the front and rear design have received the Seat “feline design” treatment.

The Interior wasn't so lucky though, and just about any previous generation Audi A4 connoisseur can see the more-than-obvious resemblances. This is both a good and a bad thing for Seat, especially from a PR point of view.

The good thing is that the old Audi a4 was known to have a very good-quality interior, unlike other modern Seats, who appear to be reusing the same interior plastics from the 1990s. The bad thing on the other hand is the fact that apart from a few latin design touches and the different emblems, this is a B7 Audi A4 Avant interior, so there goes exclusivity out the window for Seat fans.

The official details and photos should appear close to the Geneva public unveil, but the engine choices should be the same found on the sedan version of the Exeo. Gaosline versions should offer power outputs from 102 hp to 200 hp, while the oil burners should bring from 105 to 170 hp.
