The Toyota GT 86 has been announced to get some upgrades for 2015, same for the Subaru BRZ and most likely, the Scion FR-S will receive them too. So rest assured as the goodies will cross the pond probably at the same time with their launch on FR-S’ sister cars.
All three cars, the BRZ, FR-S and GT 86 are built in the same factory in Gunma, Japan, which happens to belong to Subaru. So, despite Scion saying nothing about 2015 FR-S upgrades so far, we’re sure the coupe will receive them as well.

The three cars are almost identical and there seems to be no reason why the Scion should not receive new things, especially since the brand is not doing so well in the US and is struggling to attract more young customers by launching tons of limited editions.

In case you missed our report on the GT 86’s updates, the car will soon be offered with a more rigid fixation of the front and rear suspension along with new shock absorbers which will provide less roll and sharper steering.

Visually, the Toybaru gets a shark-fin antenna, different pattern interior plastic trimmings to better imitate carbon fiber and redesigned rims in some countries. They are said to arrive this summer, so expect the more sportier Scion FR-S to come around the same period.
