Even if It’s two years old now, the Scion FR-S (Toyota GT 86 in the rest of the markets) is still considered the best sportscar for the money by many respectable automotive-related publications.
Such as Edmunds.com, which just labeled the Scion FR-S as a Top Rated Vehicle in their latest new car award survey.

"Well-received by critics and consumers alike, the Scion FR-S will no doubt be a future classic for the latest generation of driving enthusiasts," said Edmunds.com Editor-In-Chief Scott Oldham. "This sporting Scion has everything those enthusiasts hold dear, such as rear-wheel drive, a spirited engine, an agile chassis and a simple, ergonomically sound cockpit."

The Scion FR-S starts at $24,700 and comes with a 2-liter boxer engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission sending those 200 hp to the rear Torsen limited slip differential. It’s not that powerful, but having a 50:50 weight distribution, sport suspension and the oldschool differential, the car is very tail happy if you turn the nannies off. Standard features also include cruise control, DRL, powerful sound system with touchscreen, knee pads, adjustable rev warning light and more.

And if you want more cool stuff on it, the Scion FR-S can be had in one of its limited editions - Monogram Series, 10 Series or Release Series. Go check you dealership and see if you can still find one.
