Blox Racing, Beatznpieces and 247media recently hold an awesome Scion event at Lake Tahoe, bringing together dozens of Scion FR-S fans, their rides and two professional drifters to black out the tarmac in a parking lot nearby.
Pro Formula Drift drivers Fredric Aasbo and Ken Gushi, each brought their GReddy Scion FR-S and Hankook tC drift cars to put up a smoke show in the nearby parking lot where the show was held.
Drifting in such a confined space hadn’t put any pressure at all on the two drivers and they even started to tandem drift or, our favorite, side-by-side ‘doughnuting’ done in perfect synchronization. They make it look so simple, yet there are so many actions needed to be done in order to achieve such level of performance.
As with their rides, none of them remained a Scion more than their outer shell. They’ve both been stripped down of unnecessary things, fitted with racing gear and performance parts.
The most interesting one is the Scion tC, which as you’ll see in the video bellow, has been converted to the classic front longitudinally-mounted engine and rear-wheel-drive setup.
However, let us step away and let you enjoy this well put together clip. If the any errors occur, please click here to see it on vimeo.
