Taking your car to a dealership for minor repairs should be rather uneventful, don’t you think? It’s like taking your kid to the doctor – you wouldn’t expect the hospital administrator to enroll your first born into an underground Fight Club.
Of course, while the latter scenario rarely happens (ok, it never happens, thankfully), every once in a while a mechanic will end up crashing your car for various reasons, and most of the time it really is all their fault.

Take this recent incident for example. It took place at an undisclosed dealership, and the story goes as follows: The owner of that gray Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio brought his car into the shop for some minor repairs, only to come back and find that it had been used to torpedo a parked Porsche 911.

To make matters worse, after destroying the Porsche, the Alfa Romeo also made contact with a black Mercedes GLE, which in turn ended up bumping into a bright red Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. It’s what you’d call a clusterf#@k of epic proportions.

Now, according to the Redditor who claims to be the owner of the Alfa Romeo, the mechanic took the car out for a short test drive after the repairs (so far so good) but was cut off by another vehicle and had to swerve to avoid impact. The mechanic then lost control, hit an embankment, went airborne, and destroyed that poor 911 that was just sitting there, minding its own business.

Let’s assume that all of this is true, and the mechanic was also a victim in this scenario, at least to some extent. Well, swerving is one thing, but you’re not going to lose control to this extent unless you’re also going very fast, and since the Giulia QV is a high-performance sedan, it’s safe to assume that the person driving it wasn’t particularly interested in seeing how it handles at 10 mph.

Some rumors, also from Reddit, suggest that the dealership technician was intoxicated at the time of the crash, with one user claiming that a witness even saw him drinking. However, the owner of the Alfa Romeo went on to deny such claims, so let’s not start throwing accusations left and right here.

Ultimately, it’s bad enough that the Giulia was totaled while undergoing a simple test drive, but the fact that parked cars were also damaged just adds insult to injury. That Porsche 911 is a complete wreck – a total write-off. There’s no fixing it, like ever. The Mercedes GLE took a pretty big hit too, from what we can gather, but it should be fixable.

As for that Charger SRT Hellcat, it probably sustained only minor damage, so maybe you can grab it at a discount.
